Financial Accountant

POSITION OVERVIEW

Managing the accounting and administrative related tasks for legal entities located in Bangkok (BKK), including statutory, tax reporting and business controlling.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily & Weekly Duties

  • Bank Statement processing for Pooling region
  • Monitor the accuracy and timely entries of the supplier invoices in the books of the legal entities in collaboration with account payable team located in the shared service center in Bangkok.
  • Perform the outgoing payment run to the vendors on a weekly basis or more if required by the business.
  • Ensure all payments are loaded into the bank online platforms on a timely basis and follow up until full approval of the payments is performed.
  • Execute Intercompany netting as per instructions provided by the Group.
  • Provide immediate action regarding ad hoc work.
  • Being backup and supporting the team when needed.

Monthly Duties

  • Perform the month-end closing activities according to the Group month-end closing timetable including, calculation and booking of month-end accruals, prepayment, and adjust journal voucher if needed, intercompany reconciliation.
  • Maintaining of fixed assets register.
  • Perform reporting in the consolidation tool for the entities assigned to the Accounting Business Partner and complete all related forms / reports as requested by the group.
  • Coordinate timely payment of payrolls as per instructions received from HR.
  • Record payroll Journals in the books of the legal entities and ensure continuous reconciliation of the related accounts.
  • Preparation of withholding tax certificate for PND 3 & 53 for suppliers through submitted WHT & PP 30 to Revenue Department.

Yearly Duties

  • Key contact person for the local auditors.
  • Timely preparation of the statutory books of the legal entities assigned to the accounting Manager and liaise with the auditors or local consultant until full submission of the books.
  • Support the Group audit when the legal entity assigned to the Accounting Manager is in the scope for the Group Financial Audit.
  • Ensure to perform local Annual Tax and half-year Tax within deadline.
  • Support regional business and group finance on variety of topics.
  • Monitor key controls as per internal control system.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Finance / Accounting.
  • CPD License is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including excellent MS Excel skills; e.g. pivot table, advanced referencing and the use of excel as a critical reporting or analytical tool.
  • Strong knowledge of financial ERP systems, experience of SAP/SAPbyDesign and SAP Concur is a plus but not mandatory.
