Process Documentation Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Process Documentation Manager will be responsible for all information technology documents, including maintaining digital documents, knowledge center improvements, structures, and the processes, workflows, policy and expertise required to address specific business tasks in our knowledge base.  An ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment and has a background in leading content and information architecture strategy across an organization. The role will focus on developing, auditing, eliminating institutional knowledge risk, and maintaining high quality content for employees.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and maintain the knowledge management strategy and framework to include defining policies and processes, and implementing appropriate methods of IT training and communicating knowledge
  • Define the knowledge management policies and processes to ensure consistent capture, development, maintenance, and archival of knowledge content.
  • Develop and maintain high quality, up-to-date, and searchable knowledge content.
  • Design a training/communication module for employees to be able to access the knowledge management tools.
  • Work effectively across the organization with all impacted stakeholders, boundary partners, and subject matter experts to ensure that new products, features, and services are incorporated appropriately into the knowledge base.
  • Use analytics to evaluate business impact and track usage of knowledge base content.
  • Implement and maintain controls and feedback loops to ensure knowledge base content is effective and efficient.
  • Strengthen inter-system and employee-system connections to aid in information exchange.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of process analysts.
  • Lead projects to identify organizational knowledge requirements and gaps, then execute projects to define, document, and train on organizational knowledge.
  • Oversee the company intranet by divisions with appropriate content to deliver knowledge content & process documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and/or related field or 4+ years of relevant management experience in process design and/or knowledge management
  • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt experience or certification preferred
  • 4+ years of improving and documenting sophisticated processes
  • 5+ years of technical writing experience required
  • 3+ years of commercial or private airline experience preferred
  • Experience operating strategic projects with cross-functional partners
  • Experience working within an Agile environment & Executive leadership
  • Ability to document highly technical process maps and flow charts
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to create C-suite presentations & ability to present at Board meetings
  • Ability to Travel (Domestic & International) approximately 5-10%
