Regional ULD Ops & Customer Coordinator

Position summary:

In this challenging role the Regional ULD Ops & Customer Coordinator will be  responsible for the day-to-day relationship with specific Unilode Aviation Solutions ULD management customers.

Key elements of the role include:

  • Analyse stock data and trends and formulate daily plans for ULD movements.
  • Work closely with the planning teams in Bangkok & Miami and the field-based teams to ensure all pooling options are utilised and to deliver customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and minimise operational costs
  • Ensure regional sales target and budget are realised and exceeded (Win)
  • Own the day-to-day relationship at head office level with specific Unilode customers, escalating operational issues as required
  • Calculate proposal for ULD stock allocations by station, present this to the customer and agree final figures
  • Maintain regular dialogue with the customers regarding future ULD requirements in order to ensure accurate revenue and CAPEX forecasting; update Unilode system accordingly
  • Ensure seasonal trends and peaks in demand are identified and managed in an effective way by planning ahead and giving instructions to the planning team in time
  • Present contractual KPIs to the customer and agree actions to be taken where required
  • Monitor account performance against contractual thresholds and, where above threshold, raise recharge requests
  • Raise invoice requests and implement CPI adjustments as necessary
  • Monitor the execution of critical operational items for customers such as new station start-ups and other special requests; support in the implementation of new customers
  • Work collaboratively with other planning teams and field-based staff to deliver exceptional service to Unilode’s customer base
  • Ensure all assigned stations are well versed with Unilode processes and systems through regular meetings with airline staff, ground handlers and other third parties, arranging training as required
  • Proactively address customer non-compliance effectively with the relevant parties
  • Identify the root cause of operational issues in assigned stations and agree actions for resolution
  • Effectively deliver and secure pooling synergy for customers through appropriate communication with other planning teams, as well as airline representatives and ground handlers
  • Work in coordination with the inventory team to trace and recover assets missing on weekly inventory
  • Monitor operational costs, minimising spend and ensuring customers are recharged where appropriate
  • Analyse and report service failures or other important issues
  • Some international travel may be required


  • We have a strong preference for the person assuming the role be based in Paris, France. 

Experience and skills required:


  • College or diploma education required, bachelor’s degree desirable.


  • 5+ years of proven experience in the aviation industry in airline/airport/air cargo operation or customer service
  • ULD management experience preferred
  • Account management experience preferred
