POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position will work closely with airline customers to ensure their needs are met and that project deliverables align with their goals and objectives.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and quality management.
- Develop project strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Work closely with airline customers to ensure that their needs are understood and that project deliverables meet their expectations.
- Lead project teams to success by providing direction, feedback, and motivation.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and managing resources to stay within budget constraints.
- Identify, analyze, and manage project risks effectively to ensure project success.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
- Continuously improve project management processes and practices.
- Familiarity with digitalization and knowledge of project management software, collaboration tools, and reporting and analytics tools.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in the aviation industry.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with digitalization and knowledge of project management software, collaboration tools, and reporting and analytics tools.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with airline customers to understand their needs and align project deliverables with their goals and objectives.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends and patterns, and make informed decisions.
- Experience managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and managing resources.
- Knowledge of quality management principles and practices.
- Experience managing risks and developing risk management plans.
- Understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices. This includes knowledge of project lifecycle phases, project planning and scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and change management.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide project teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, delegate tasks, and provide direction and feedback.
