Procurement Subcontractor Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Subcontractor Performance Manager will ensure that all outsourced repair providers are performing to the best of their ability and providing the business with value for money. The incumbent will discover where procurement can add value and manage the spend in the most effective way. Proposing and implementing joint activities with the wider business to improve cost position and manage risks is a key element for this position.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recommend procurement strategies by examining complex data sets on the Company’s spend and suppliers.
  • Evaluating trends and anticipating change requirements.
  • Identify and implement savings through negotiation, data analysis, process improvement or any other means.
  • Ensure that savings are ratified by the finance department.
  • Manage risk within the category.
  • Seek operational improvements to suppliers’ way of working.
  • Work effectively across the organization with all impacted stakeholders to ensure that strategies fit the wider needs of the business.
  • Ensure supplier agreements are appropriately documented (e.g., in a contract) and that the contract is shared and archived according to processes.
  • Create C-Suite presentations and present information to the Executive and Board level.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of contract principles and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Strong negotiator with the ability to run rigorous procurement processes (e.g., RFPs).
  • Knowledge of MRO operations and/or ULD management preferred.
