ULD Fleet Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • The role is responsible to manage, maintain and optimize the physical ULD asset base of Unilode (~150,000 air cargo containers and pallets).
  • Key elements of the role are inventory and stock management on a network and customer level, coordination of asset renewal, fleet harmonization and asset exchange programs, the definition and maintenance of replacement values and BER (beyond economic repair values) and maintenance of customer asset specification.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of global ULD asset base on network and carrier level by maintaining data driven oversight of entire asset base
  • Coordination of asset renewals and exchange programs between networks
  • Active management of fleet harmonization to reduce ULD SKUs
  • Continuous maintenance of accurate ULD fleet data in relevant IT systems
  • Proactive management of BER (Beyond Economic Repair) levels for all ULD types, thus optimizing repair vs replacement costs of assets as well as overall asset utilization
  • Management asset induction onboarding
  • Management of ULD codes/ serial IDs for rebranding, new asset injection, scrap, loss, etc.
  • Maintenance of ULD logo/ brands specifications per customer
  • Maintenance of ULD and consumable specifications per customer
  • Maintenance of ULD and consumable reselling price
  • Maintenance of ULD and consumable replacement costs
  • Maintenance of ULD compatibility for digital transformation
  • Establishment of asset management KPIs and support of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis
  • Support new business opportunity, bill of sale, exit agreement and buyback analysis
  • Proactive management of CAPEX ULD induction, concerned logistics and customs

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • English language certificate with above average score (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, FCE)
  • Several years of experience in physical asset/inventory management, ideally in cargo or logistics industry (i.e. containers, pallets, railway wagons, truck trailers, etc.)
  • Previous work experience in a multi-national corporation and cross-cultural teams
  • CAPEX and Budget Control experience is a plus
  • Experience in Air Cargo or ULD Mgmt is a plus
  • Very strong analytical skills and data driven work approach
