ULD Planning and Dispositioning Lead

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Improve ULD Management Service Quality and Customer Satisfaction
  • Proactively drive and improve ULD rebalancing activities in customer networks
  • Improve planning and forecasting accuracy of station and network stock requirements
  • Deploy, and monitor business process transition and continuous improvement

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Lead ULD Planning and Dispositioning team to improve business processes in order to maintain and elevate service quality for Unilode Aviation Solution Customers
  • Support Customer Success Manager in setting monthly network and station stock requirements for customer networks based on flight schedules and historical ULD requirements and participate in customer alignment calls
  • Perform data analysis and regularly review station and network stock requirements to improve demand forecasting at key stations and in overall network. Regularly work with responsible Customer Success Manager to improve accuracy of chargeable ULD stock
  • Monitor airline schedules, and ULD utilization to raise appropriate ULD planning and dispositioning requests timely – flag delayed schedule provision or irregularities in flight operations or stock requirements with Customer Success Manager
  • Maintain up-to-date customer/GHA contact directory and escalation rules in-line with contract and JP
  • Maintain up-to-date customer fleet and network insights (i.e. plane types, shipsets per plane, hubs, substations, etc) and update data accordingly in Unilode systems
  • Ensure seasonal requirements are proactively and effectively managed
  • Ensure Ad hoc requirements are catered and planned
  • Flag operational challenges in coordination with Regional ULD planning coordinator to formulate resolution and remediation plan for execution.
  • Timely escalate issues that hinder effective global ULD planning and dispositioning
  • Deploy / Implement new processes to effectively manage the day to day operation.
  • Report services and operations performances to identify risk and opportunity to improve service quality and drive down operational costs
  • Work in close coordination with other ULD planning and dispositioning teams to establish effective stock control and timely escalation
  • Take necessary follow up actions to distribute station ULD stock between the airline ground handling agents as per the agreed allocation. If required, organize OAL operations or trucking/seafreight to rebalance customer networks upon approval from Customer Success Manager and ensure that costs get correctly recharged
  • Maintain good working relations with internal and external parties, including ground handling agents, freight forwarders and customer stations representatives to drive effective ULD balancing.
  • Effectively implement the roll out plan for new airline customers
  • Participate in operational and continuous improvement customer calls to align operational requirements directly with Customer Success Managers and customer representatives

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • College or diploma education required, Bachelor/Master degree desirable
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of Aviation Industry, Air Cargo and ULD Planning.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of team management experience required
  • Overseeing and managing day-to-day team operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Very strong analytical skills and data driven work approach
  • Passion for Customer Service and problem solving
  • Proficient use of MS-Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule
  • Experienced in delegating tasks and setting deadlines.
